Power2Progress Shared Learning Day

UCD O'Brien Centre for Science | May 9th 2022

On Monday 9th May, over 600 students and their teachers from 21 post-primary schools nationally attended an outreach day in the UCD O’Brien Centre for Science organised by the project lead Professor Judith Harford assisted by Dr Rachel Farrell and PhD candidate Amalia Fenwick. Minister Simon Harris opened the event and met with students and teachers who presented poster presentations representing the significance of education and the impact of the Power2Progress programme. Following a suite of mini lectures by UCD academics on the spectrum of courses on offer in UCD, students were brought on a tour of campus and to lunch in the UCD restaurant.

Students also heard from the UCD Students’ Union on life as a UCD student and from the Fulbright Commission on opportunities to study in the USA.
